How We Work

Agile, transparent, and built around your goals, not ours.

01

Discovery & Requirements

We learn your goals, your users, and your constraints before writing a single line of code. We ask hard questions to make sure we build the right thing.

02

Design & Prototype

We design in the open. You see wireframes and interactive prototypes early, so we can iterate before development begins, saving time and cost.

03

Agile Development

We work in short sprints with regular check-ins. You see working software every two weeks, not just at the end of the project.

04

Accessibility & QA

Every build goes through accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA), cross-browser and cross-device testing, and security review before deployment.

05

Launch & Deployment

We handle deployment on your preferred infrastructure, Canadian cloud by default, with full documentation and a smooth handover.

06

Ongoing Support

We offer maintenance, updates, and support after launch. We do not disappear when the project goes live.

Common Questions

Straight answers to the questions we hear most often.

How do you handle government accessibility requirements?

Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA from day one, conduct automated and manual accessibility audits throughout development, and test with assistive technologies before launch.

Can you work with our existing systems and vendors?

Yes. We regularly integrate with existing government platforms, CRMs, databases, and third-party APIs. We assess your current stack in the discovery phase and design integrations accordingly.

Do you build bilingual products?

Absolutely. As a Canadian organization, bilingual delivery is standard for us. We architect applications with internationalization (i18n) built in from the start, supporting both English and French and additional languages where needed.

What happens after launch?

We offer maintenance and support packages that include bug fixes, security updates, dependency management, and feature development. We do not consider a project done when it goes live.

How long does a typical project take?

A simple website takes 4 to 8 weeks. A full web application or mobile app typically takes 3 to 6 months. Complex, multi-phase projects can run longer. We always define timelines clearly in our proposals.

Why Nation Code?

We don't just build websites. We build digital experiences that work for everyone. Our team understands Canadian accessibility standards, bilingual requirements, and the unique needs of public-facing services.

As a non-profit, we are not trying to upsell you features you do not need. We build what solves the problem, we build it properly, and we stay with you after launch. That is the Nation Code standard.
