150+ terms across grooming, self-harm, bullying, privacy risks, and drug content — in English and Canadian French.

Regex rules that detect dangerous combinations — "alone + location" or "secret + meeting" are far more dangerous together.

Gemini Nano (Chrome's built-in AI) analyses ambiguous cases locally. No text ever leaves the browser — even for AI.

A warm, friendly message appears bottom-right. No alarm. No punishment. Just a gentle heads-up — in the child's language.

Unzip the file

Open Chrome extensions

Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.

Enable Developer mode

Toggle on Developer mode in the top-right corner of the extensions page.

Load unpacked

Click Load unpacked, then select the safeguard-extension folder.

Pin the icon
